Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes
As Editorial Assistant in MoMA's Department of Architecture and Design, I focused on the catalogue for the landmark exhibition, Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes.
This 392-page publication was edited by guest curator Jean-Louis Cohen, an authority on the work of Le Corbusier, and features essays by more than twenty-five Le Corbusier experts. It also includes hundreds of images of the architect's drawings, sketches, archival photographs and paintings, and contemporary photographs by Richard Pare.
As Editorial Assistant, I was heavily involved in the organization of this publication. Reporting to Barry Bergdoll, MoMA's Chief Curator of Architecture and Design, and Jean-Louis Cohen, the exhibition's guest curator, I researched and cleared copyrights and image permissions; researched artwork and architectural drawings; created and edited image captions; and liaised with museum staff, MoMA Publications, contributing authors, outside organizations and lenders, among many other duties.
